In December, 2004, the New York Daily News reported that she and her manager were behind the website selling the tapes and were receiving 70% of the sales profits.It is still not confirmed whether or not Lewis did release the tape deliberately (and it's therefore unknown if she made any money from it). What is clear however is that the sex video, which quickly spread throughout the internet, certainly did increase Lewis's level of fame, especially worldwide where US Survivor is not broadcast and she was an unknown. Interestingly, Lewis had previously turned down an offer to pose nude for Playboy after Survivor; a decision she reportedly later regretted. Lewis and Wolfe later divorced.
