The circumstances of her passing are under investigation by Albuquerque homicide detectives, treating it as a suspicious death.
Her final communication, a tweet on February 28th, hinted at no such forthcoming sorrow, making the news all the more shocking. This was just one day before authorities thought he had died.

She was found dead inside an apartment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Homicide detectives are investing the details. Albuquerque officers responded to a call at her apartment complex around 10:40 a.m. Friday morning, March 1. The woman was later identified as adult star Sophie Leone.

Police are still waiting for a toxicology report to learn the cause of her death but homicide has an active, ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

The woman was found dead inside a unit at the Mountain Run Apartments Friday morning, according to police. Officers in the Foothills Area Command responded at about 10:40 a.m. Homicide detectives were requested to take over the investigation.
