Torno in topic e calo il tris degli Onward, band americana attiva tra il 2000 e il 2003, anni in cui aveva strappato un importante contratto alla Metal Blade. Il primo album è "Evermoving" del 2001, il secondo è "Reawaken" del 2002, mentre una prima uscita di "The Neverending Sun" è del 2003. "The Neverending Sun" è stato rimasterizzato, restaurato e remixato nel 2007, ma la qualità sonora resta piuttosto bassa (non c'è batterista, c'è la drum machine), quindi è un prodotto da estimatori e profondi cultori del gruppo americano. Il loro sound, classificabile come US Power metal, è caratterizzato dalle grandi abilità tecniche del chitarrista Toby Knapp e dall'interpretazione vocale unica di Michael Grant.

Erano a londra l'altra sera (mi sa che sono in tour).
Nel mio periodo di pazzia totale per i Late of the Pier (provateli!), cercando un gruppo similare ci avevo provato anche con loro (ma non mi avevano impressionato).
Ora mi hai fatto venir voglia di riprovarci!
E poi un gruppo con unA batterista è sempre una figata...

Io di Pure Instinct ne ho sempre sentito parlare in toni poco entusiastici... però ammetto che in base a queste voci un ascolto non gliel'ho mai dato...

beh è un sincero e classico hard rock, ma non dimenticare due fattori che li rendono fondamentali all'interno del movimento:
1 - sono tedeschi, in una scena dominata in prevalenza da gruppi americani o inglesi
2 - si sono formati nel 1965, quindi sono tra i pionieri
poi è tutta una questione di gusti, quindi ciò che per te può essere banale, per me può essere un concentrato di emozioni:

sì sì per carità de gustibus ma a mio parere sono tutt'altro che fondamentali....
i black sabbath sono fondamentali degli scorpions il mondo può fare tranquillamente a meno...
sui fatto che siano tedeschi.... beh gli einsturzende sono anch'essi tedeschi e li preferisco (ovviamente ho capito che intendi ed è solamente una battuta)
